GCETTB Reunion Portal – Privacy Policy & Terms of Use

Welcome to reunion.gcettb.ac.in ("Portal"), the official reunion platform of the Alumni Association of GCETTB. This portal is created to facilitate alumni registration, reunion participation, networking, communication, donations, and related alumni engagement activities.

By accessing or using this portal, you agree to comply with the policies outlined below.

1. Purpose of the Portal

The portal is intended to:

  • Facilitate registration for GCETTB reunions and alumni events.
  • Maintain an alumni database for networking and institutional engagement.
  • Enable communication between alumni, students, faculty, and the Alumni Association.
  • Manage event participation, donations, sponsorships, and commemorative activities.
  • Promote the heritage and development initiatives of GCETTB.

The Alumni Association is committed to protecting your personal information.

  • Information may be disclosed when required by law or regulatory authorities.

5. Event Photography and Media Consent

By participating in any reunion or alumni event, you consent to the use of photographs, videos, recordings, and event-related content for:

  • Alumni publications
  • Souvenirs
  • College and Alumni Association websites
  • Social media platforms
  • Promotional and archival purposes

Participants who do not wish to appear in official media should notify the organizers in writing before the event.

6. Payments, Donations and Sponsorships

Any registration fee, donation, sponsorship contribution, or advertisement payment made through the portal shall be treated as voluntary support for reunion and alumni activities.

  • Payments once confirmed may not be refundable except in exceptional circumstances approved by the organizing committee.
  • Donation receipts shall be issued where applicable.
  • Sponsorship benefits shall be governed by the specific terms communicated to sponsors.

7. Alumni Directory and Networking

The portal may provide networking features and alumni directories.

Users agree:

  • Not to misuse contact information of other alumni.
  • Not to send unsolicited commercial communications.
  • Not to engage in harassment, impersonation, or fraudulent activities.
  • To respect the privacy and professional reputation of fellow alumni.

Violation of these conditions may result in suspension or removal of portal access.

8. User Responsibilities

Users are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of login credentials.
  • Ensuring that uploaded content is lawful and appropriate.
  • Refraining from posting offensive, defamatory, discriminatory, or misleading material.

9. Intellectual Property

All content available on the portal, including logos, photographs, graphics, documents, and event materials, remains the property of GCETTB or the Alumni Association unless otherwise stated.

Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or commercial use is prohibited.

10. Limitation of Liability

The Alumni Association and GCETTB shall not be liable for:

  • Technical interruptions or website downtime.
  • Loss of data arising from circumstances beyond reasonable control.
  • User-generated content posted by third parties.
  • Indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the portal.

11. Modification of Policies

The Alumni Association reserves the right to modify these policies at any time. Updated versions will be published on the portal and shall become effective upon publication.
